Q&A
Are there any coins that I cannot submit for grading?
・Coins from the following countries, which are subject to US economic sanctions, cannot be submitted to either NGC or PCGS.
(Belarus, Burundi, Central African Republic, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Venezuela, Yemen, Zimbabwe)
・NGC hole coins, old gold and silver
・PCGS Ancient Coins
*Treasury gold coins can be submitted to NGC. After grading without removing them from the Treasury case, a sticker with the NGC grade will be affixed to the outside of the case.
If the coin is returned with the front and back reversed, can it be corrected?
The front and back of the coin are at the discretion of each grading company, so we will return the coin to the customer as is. Please note that we will also not be able to deal with misalignment of the coin in the slab case (when the coin is rotated) except in extreme cases.
When should I pay the fee?
After grading is complete and your submitted items are returned by NGC or PCGS, an invoice will be issued.
Payment can be made in cash at the store, or by bank or postal transfer.
How should I submit coins by mail?
Please check the following information and send it by registered mail, courier service, etc.
If the coin is not in the original case issued by the mint, or is in a paper holder held together with a stapler, please transfer it to a zippered plastic bag or vinyl coin case and pack it carefully to prevent the coin from being scratched.
If the coin is in a circular plastic case issued by the Mint Bureau, please send it as is without removing it from the case. If the coin is in a plastic case such as a Panda Coin or Mint Set, please send it as is without opening it.
Please note that if you send your item in a plastic coin case or similar, we will not be able to return the case.
