Five guinea coins were issued intermittently from the mid-17th century to the late 18th century, but compared to the five pound coins issued from the 19th century onwards, there appear to be very few in existence.
George II Proof 5 Guinea gold coins were issued in 1729 and 1731, and both are rare, rated R4 (estimated number in existence: 10-20). * NGC PF55 *
5 Guineas Gold coins were issued intermittently from the middle of the 17th century to the
later 18th century , but their extant numbers are less than 5 Pounds Gold coins which issued after 19th century.
