French masterpiece "Louis d'or"
This 8 Louis d'or is one of three extremely rare coins (4 Louis d'or, 8 Louis d'or, 10 Louis d'or) issued in the final years of Louis XIII, the father of Louis XIV, who reigned at the height of the French Louis dynasty.
This large gold coin is highly rare, has no major flaws, and is in excellent condition (AU50), making it worthy of being called a masterpiece.
